Primary Students Experience Real-World Careers at Kidzania

On September 13, 2024, primary students from St. Johannes Berchmans School had the exciting opportunity to visit Kidzania, a place where children can explore various real-world careers in an interactive and engaging environment. The field trip was designed to give students hands-on experience with different professions, allowing them to step into the shoes of doctors, firefighters, chefs, and many more. The immersive setting at Kidzania allowed the students to make decisions, solve problems, and work collaboratively—all while having fun and learning valuable life skills.
During the visit, the students participated in a wide range of activities that simulated real-world work environments. They earned KidZos, the Kidzania currency, through their “jobs” and learned about the value of money management, responsibility, and teamwork. Each role encouraged them to think critically and creatively, helping them gain a deeper understanding of different professions and industries. From treating patients in a hospital to preparing delicious meals in the kitchen, the students were fully engaged in the experience, leaving them with newfound knowledge and inspiration for their future careers.

Beyond the career simulations, the field trip also fostered a sense of independence and confidence in the students as they navigated Kidzania’s city-like setup. They made decisions on which careers to try, managed their KidZos, and interacted with their peers in a fun yet structured environment. By the end of the day, the students returned to school with smiles, stories, and a better understanding of the world of work. The Kidzania field trip was not only an educational adventure but also a memorable experience that sparked curiosity and excitement about the future.
