Dream, Discover, Achieve : Career Day for the Next Generation
(24/01/2024) In an endeavor to inspire and guide students towards a bright future, St. Johannes Berchmans School organized an engaging career introduction event for students from Early Years to Secondary levels. With the theme "Career Day", this event aimed at broadening their understanding of various professions in the world and introducing the array of careers they might choose in the future. Students were introduced to various professions through presentations, role-playing games, and interactive Q&A sessions. Professionals from diverse backgrounds, including doctors, firefighters, housewives, police officers, content creators, etc., were present to share their experiences and insights into their professions with the students.
The participants not only listened to different professions but also had the opportunity to participate directly in activities related to each profession. They tried on doctor's coats, use firefighting equipments, and practiced providing first aid to accident victims. Additionally, the event featured panel sessions with parents who work in various fields.
They shared inspiring stories about their career journeys, the challenges they faced, and valuable advice for students planning their futures. By organizing this career introduction event, St. Johannes Berchmans School aims to provide valuable insights to students about the diverse career options available in the world and motivate them to pursue their dreams with determination and enthusiasm.
